Admission
Information
Garvey Manor provides care for persons regardless of race, color,
religious creed, national origin, age, ancestry, or sex. However,
this facility cares primarily for persons over sixty-five (65).
Garvey Manor admits only residents whose nursing care and physical
needs can be provided by the staff and facility. A resident with
a disease in the communicable stage may not be admitted to the
facility unless it is deemed advisable by the attending physician,
the medical director, and administration and unless the facility
has the capability to care for the needs of the resident.

Any
person, regardless of economic status, may apply for admission
to Garvey Manor.

An initial payment at the time of admission will be required
for private pay residents.

Subsequent
payments to the facility will be made in advance and cover living
accommodations, board, general nursing care, and routine medical
supplies not covered by Medicare Part B.

In
addition, the resident agrees to pay for such expenses as clothing,
personal dry cleaning, long distance telephone calls, private
duty nurses, physician's fees, dental fees, medications, diagnostic
services, x-rays, laboratory work, podiatrist fees, dental care,
physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory
therapy, beauty parlor/barber shop, personal care items, etc.

Prior
to admission resident information must be available to the facility.
This information must include current medical findings and medical/surgical
diagnosis. Garvey Manor reserves the right to request additional
medical information that may be needed to ensure continuity
of treatment.

The
resident may retain his/her own physician, or choose one who
serves Garvey Manor. Physicians must agree upon admission to
renew/review resident's clinical record on a schedule that conforms
to State and Federal regulations.

Garvey
Manor offers twenty-four hour nursing care by qualified nursing
personnel.

Dining
room and tray service are provided as needed. Special diets
are provided on order of the resident's physician.

Physical,
occupational, and speech therapy treatments are provided on
the order o the resident's physician.

Beauty
Parlor/Barber Shop services are available.
