The philosophy of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm was conceived and nurtured in the Charism of their foundress, Mother M. Angeline Teresa. The philosophy of the Sisters, which is promulgated within our facility, is steeped in her words:
“Our apostolate is not only to staff and operate up-to-date homes for the aged, but as religious it is to bring Christ to every old person under our care. Bringing Christ means giving them His compassion, His interest, His loving care, His warmth morning, noon and night. It means inspiring the lay people who work with us, to give the same type of loving care.”

We not only care for our residents, we care about them as individuals who have a life history and family connections. Since our ministry flows from the healing ministry of Jesus Christ, we are honored to walk part of each resident’s journey of life with them. In doing so, we endeavor to bring then hope, healing, and comfort. Sanctity of Life
We believe life is a sacred gift from God and we therefore hold life, at all stages, in reverential esteem. While life should be preserved whenever possible, sickness, suffering, and death are part of life and are potential experiences of encountering God. We know that death, as the last stage of earthly life, is the prelude to eternal life. We are committed to witness to the gospel message of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. We foster palliative care, which is a holistic, person-centered approach to meeting the physical, social, spiritual, psychological, and emotional needs of the resident from the time of their admission throughout their stay with us.
